The Franklinton Youth Baseball 8U All-Star team recently claimed the championship title in a 10-team invitational tournament held at their home fields. Following that win, the team went undefeated to capture the Diamond Youth Baseball District VI Championship in Kentwood. They now advance to the Louisiana Dixie Youth State Tournament, set for July 10–13 at La Salle Park in Metairie.
