The defenses ruled the remainder of regulation. Demons quarterback Jacob Crain was hampered with an injury and did not play the final possession of the game and did not participate in the overtime series.
The Cowboys scored first in the overtime period on a one yard quarterback run on fourth down to go up 21-14. The Demons failed to score as a pass into the endzone fell to the ground on fourth down.
After the game Coach Nick Saltaformaggio said. "The game was how I thought it would play out. Obviously, losing Jacob was a giant blow to us. We still have to find a way to run the football. It is more important now than ever because of the quarterback situation. All of our goals are still ahead of us. We have to find a way to get six wins because that number guarantees a winning record and a playoff spot."
