The Franklinton Junior High Falcons football team finished their season undefeated and won the Washington Parish Junior High championship with a 12-0 win over Pine last Tuesday in Varnado.
The Falcons had the ball first and scored when Dkari Williams passed to Jayce Magee for a 44 yard touchdown. The two point conversion was no good and the Falcons lead 6-0 with 4:23 left in the first quarter.
The Raiders then held the ball on a long drive that lasted into the second quarter and continued to hold it until only seven seconds remained in the first half. The Falcons would go into halftime with a 6-0 lead.
The Raiders had possession first in the second half and again went on a long drive that lasted until there was only 18 seconds left in the third quarter. The Falcons would score again on a long play when Khalifa McClendon ripped off a nice 50 yard run to put the Falcons up 12-0 with 3:37 left in the game.
The Raiders showed some life on the final drive but time ran out,giving the Falcons a 12-0 victory.
Dkari Williams passed twice completing one for 44 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 17 yards. Khalifa McClendon rushed three times for 71 yards and a touchdown while Jemiah Roberts rushed four times for 22 yards. Jayce Magee caught one pass for 44 yards and a touchdown. Pine's time of possession was 22:49 with the Falcons time of possession being 9:11.
The Raider's Brady Dillon rushed 15 times for 43 yards, caught four passes for 29 yards and passed 3 times for 14 yards.
