George Evon Ladner, 95, a resident of the Pine Community passed away Thursday morning February 5, 2026 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was born in Poplarville, MS August 1. 1930 and was a longtime active member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church. Evon worked in the Gaylord Bag Plant in Bogalusa for many years and later retired after a career on the local bridge crew for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Sisters and a Brother in law: Margaret Rawls, Dolores and Bobby Luper
Sister in law: Renee Ladner
Also many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his son George William Ladner, wife of 52 years Alberta “Pat” Spencer Ladner, parents L.D. Ladner and Cascelia Beall Ladner, brothers Conrad Ladner, Charles Ladner, brother and sister in law Douglas and Molly Ladner, sisters and brothers in law Betty Rose and Eld. Ted Phillips, Katherine and Sonny Breland, brother in law Melvin Rawls, father in law and mother in law Ben and Vanda Spencer, several sisters in law and brothers in law and other family members.
Visitation will be at Pine Missionary Baptist Church Sunday February 8th from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 4:00 pm Sunday with Eld. Adam Luper officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Community Cemetery.
