Georgianna “Gigi” Asprion Reynolds, 77, was born August 17, 1947 and passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was a resident of the Stoney Point Community and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Georgi received a bachelor’s degree from University of Texas El Paso and taught in El Paso, Texas and Mt. Hermon, Louisiana. She was passionate about encouraging her students in every subject but wanted them to love literacy as much as she did. You could often find her reading books to her grandchildren whenever she could. Georgi loved staying outside and tending to her garden which included fruits and vegetables. Propagating and nurturing plants just as she did her students. If you couldn’t find Georgi gardening, she could be found in the kitchen experimenting with herbs and spices making the most delicious meals for her family and friends. She was an elegant, gentle, generous and loving woman who went by many names such as wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, but her proudest title was GiGi.
