Henry Erwin “Sam” Brock, 75 a resident of Mount Hermon passed away Thursday afternoon May 1, 2025. He was born in Tylertown on January 29, 1950 and was a longtime truck driver, hauling gravel throughout the area. Sam also worked at Asplundh for a time and most recently worked for Thornton Mineral Company for many years, mixing and delivering product to customers. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, spending time in the outdoors and rabbit hunting. Sam loved listening to his favorite bluegrass and country music, playing his guitar and singing. He also loved spending time with his family.

Son: Christopher Brock of Franklinton
Grandchildren: Alexi and Nate Moss, Kayleigh Jackson, Tyler Donahou
Great-grandchildren: Alana Moss, Alice Moss, Aliza Moss, Kaylani Ponce, and Sam was excited for an expected great-grandson Rowan Moss
Sister: Brenda Bateman of Abita Springs
Uncle: Harmon Elam
Very Special Nephew: Steven Jarrell, who stayed by his side, caring for him in times of need
Also numerous other beloved nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny Alexander Brock and Ola Mae Elam Brock, sisters Johnnie Mae McCloud, Katherine Edwards, brother Jimmy Brock and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday May 5th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 pm Monday with Rev. Kenneth Wheeler officiating.
