Inez Sylvia Rushing Brown, 93, a resident of Franklinton died Saturday morning July 19, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1932 in Tylertown, Mississippi. She worked at Rutter Rex as an inspector and seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting. She crocheted many items and entered in the Washington Parish Fair and won many ribbons. She crocheted many blankets and other items for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She also sewed many clothing items for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Winford Harold Brown, her parents Elbert and Thanie Talley Rushing, siblings Otis Rushing, Wilton Rushing, Hilton Rushing and Bonnie Jean Stovall.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 10 AM until 2 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown.
