Jason Monroe Duncan, 42, a resident of Mount Hermon passed away peacefully Friday February 6, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Bogalusa on January 23, 1984 and attended Mount Hermon High School. Jason began his career as an iron worker before becoming a deckhand on tugboats. He served with Bisso Marine and most recently C.P. Marine, traveling up and down the Mississippi River. He had recently received his boat pilot’s license, an accomplishment he was very proud of. Jason was talented with his hands and always kept them busy. He enjoyed mechanic work, tinkering with radios and other electronics and did woodworking as a fun hobby. Jason loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind person that never met a stranger and he will be forever missed by all that knew him.
