When filing ended Friday, seven of the 12 judges in the 22nd Judicial District faced no opposition in their re-election bids.
Four of their fellow judges did not seek new terms.
And in Division E, a new judge will be elected to replace William H. Burris of Franklinton, who left the 22nd Judicial District after winning election as a Louisiana Supreme Court Justice.

Judge Vincent J. "Vinny" Lobello is unopposed

Judge Scott Gardner is retiring and the candidates to replace him are: "Ben" Clayton, Jason Cuccia, Theophile "Theo" Jones, Amanda A. Trosclair, and Angelina Valuri
•Division H
Judge Alan Zaunbrecher is retiring. The candidates to replace him are: Whitney Germany and Luke Lancaster
•Division I
Judge Reginald Badeaux is retiring and candidate Michael J. Cochran is upopposed to replace him
