During his tenure as mayor of Franklinton, Greg Route hosted an annual Easter egg hunt each year along with the Planning and Social Committee. Current Mayor Darwin Sharp wants to continue this great tradition. On Saturday, April 12 approximately 75 children enjoyed face painting and hunting eggs along with a visit from the Franklinton Fire Department and a chance to blow the truck's horn.
The Franklinton Citizens Planning Committee assisted with the planning and hosting duties.
