Lenora Mae Cotton Knight, 74, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Thursday morning July 31, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center. She was born in Tylertown on December 2, 1950 and raised in the Thomas Community before graduating from Thomas High School. She was retired after a career as a nurse’s aide, serving at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton for many years. Earlier in life, Lenora was a cashier at the Cornerstone Pantry store in Franklinton for several years. She attended 2nd Baptist Church in Franklinton. Lenora enjoyed going out to eat and loved visiting with her friends and family on the phone each day. She was also an avid reader. Lenora will be forever missed by her family and all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Cotton and Flora Mae Brumfield Cotton, sister Jackie Cotton, father of her children Wayne Knight and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Sunday August 3rd from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Rev. Rayford Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
