Plans are underway for the Varnado Store Museum's Christmas Festival which will be held on December 3rd and 4th at the Fairgrounds in the Commercial Building.
This is the major fund-raiser for the non-profit Museum organization and it will feature food, art and crafts booths, visits with Santa, entertainment, a Christmas Tree raffle and a Gift raffle with about 25 gifts which might be won for just $1.00.
Now is the time to begin your holiday shopping and get in the spirit of the season. If you are interested in renting a booth, contact Kay Branch at 985-515-5121 before they are filled. Prospective entertainers should contact Terry Seal at 985-839-3279.
Across the street from the Museum Christmas Festival, the Pioneer Christmas at Mile Branch Settlement will show how Christmas was celebrated long ago in log cabin times.
Be sure to make the weekend of December 3rd and 4th a must on your family fun list!
