Washington Parish author Mikayla Boudreaux has released her latest book, “Seeds Between Her Teeth.”
This is her sixth book. Her previous titles are The Listener, The Grief Counselor, The Kettle, Play Dead, and Play Along.
Ms Boudreaux describes herself as an independent horror author. She writes psychological horror, Southern Gothic fiction, and dark thrillers that explore the complicated sides of human nature.
She said her writing began as a way to process grief and trauma from her own life. Growing up, navigating difficult family relationships, and experiencing personal loss left her carrying feelings she struggled to express to others. She found comfort in writing because it gave those experiences somewhere to go, as she explained it.
“I could take my pain and my trauma and give it a fictional place to live.”
Her latest book, *Seeds Between Her Teeth* is psychological/body horror — a story about Claire and her ex, and her ex’s new girlfriend, built around coercive control, memory, and the question of whose evidence anyone believes.
Ms Boudreaux's books are available from Amazon in both paperback and Kindle. More information about “Seeds Between Her Teeth” and her other books can be found at:
