Coach Phil Junkins remarked, “Very proud of the effort of our kids. Columbia is well coached and played hard. Our kids stayed the course and made plays when we needed them. Very pleased with the Preston Jarrell in the secondary. Great to be 2-0 in district play. We need to correct the mistakes made and get better each week. I though special teams were good especially our kickers. Alex Brock was spot on with kickoffs, and Ryn Rivenbark did a great job punting.”
The Bowling Green Buccaneers will return to Buck Hellen Stadium this week for a special senior spotlight night. They will face the Amite School Center on October 4, with kickoff set for 7 PM. The Buccaneers will look to continue their momentum and improve their district record.
