The Franklinton Demon Baseball Camp was held Tuesday, May 28 through Friday May 31 at Demon Diamond. The highest attendance day saw 106 young men and one young lady going through drills, playing in the Ragball World Series, and learning baseball etiquette.
Assisting Coach Clay Tageant in camp counselor duties were members of the Demon Baseball team as well as Coaches Nate Murray, Jonathon Barber, Dustin Khale and recent alum Brady Smith, who now plays for the Delgado Dolphins.
Coach Clay Tageant said, "This is one of the greatest traditions of this program. My dad started baseball camp in the 1990's and it is so gratifying to see kids come from age 4 or 5 until they are 14. I also enjoyed seeing former players registering their sons. My brother and I attended baseball camps at Tulane, LSU, Southeastern, and USM when growing up and later worked at them. I put the Demon Baseball Camp right alongside those when comparing what is learned and the fun the campers have. It was a great week."
