Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Michael Stogner of Bogalusa, Louisiana, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Abby Leigh Stogner, to Major Stephen McElveen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery C. McElveen of Franklinton, Louisiana.
The bride-to-be is a 2020 graduate of Bowling Green School and a 2024 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned a degree in Marketing. She currently serves as the Marketing Director for Bleu Rx Solutions. of Franklinton.
Abby is the granddaughter of Mr. Michael Wayne Stogner and the late Mrs. Susan Smyth Stogner of Bogalusa, Louisiana, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Aubrey Jarrell of Angie, Louisiana.
The groom-to-be is a 2016 graduate of Franklinton High School and a 2020 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. He is currently attending Southern University Law Center while in his fifth year as a teacher at Franklinton High School.
Major is the grandson of Mrs. Kathy McDaniel McElveen and the late Mr. Ted C. McElveen of Franklinton, Louisiana, and Mr. Paul Thompson and the late Mrs. Lorna Nell Addison Thompson of Amite, Louisiana.
The couple is planning a July 5, 2025, wedding.
