The Board of Directors of the Varnado Store Museum would like you to join us in viewing our military exhibit.
The exhibit can be viewed from now through June. On June 15 and June 16 there will be living history reenactors, with various military equipment. Visitors can have discussions with WWI and WW2 weapons specialists.
The Cemetery Doctor, Trent Lewis, will be presenting info on the preservation of restoration of the resting place of the deceased on June 15 at 1 p.m. in conjunction with the living history exhibit in the museum annex.
We will be selling lunch plates. The profits will assist us in raising some of the funds needed in the restoration of our historical building, which was constructed in 1908.
$10 per plate, with drinks sold separately. Serving Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.Meal tickets can be purchased from Leader Printing at 1044 Main Street, Franklinton, or by calling Mary Jo Poole at 839-2261.
On July 12, Bowling Green students will host a grand opening with a photographic exhibit called “Franklinton: Then and Now”.
There will be music and refreshments. Join us! Free entrance!!
