A 2013 Franklinton High School graduate has been selected to represent the New Orleans Saints as a a cheerleader at the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl.
Kassidi Varnado, a stylist at Salon 16 in Franklinton, is a Saintsation, the cheerleading team for the Saints.
She has been a dancer for many years, including during her time at Franklinton High School, when she was a Demonette. She also served as a Dixie Darlin’ dancer while she attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
She started off as a young dancer at Dawn Alford’s dance academy.
Kassidi is the daughter of Kandi Crain and Chris Varnado. She is engaged to Jonathan Turner.
The NFL Pro Bowl will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 6. It will be televised on ABC and ESPN.
Meanwhile, a celebration for Kassidi is being put together by friends and supporters. It will be Monday, Jan. 17 from 3 ‘til 5:30 at Salon 16 on Main Street, on past Riverside Medical Center. There will be jambalaya, cake and music.
