Last Thursday the Franklinton Police Department was notified of incident that took place in the Winn-Dixie parking lot.
A mother and her child were sitting in their car in the parking lot when an unknown male in the car next to them began making inappropriate remarks to the female. He even suggested that he be allowed to enter the car with the female.
A photo of this male was posted on the Police Department's Facebook page and has been shared over 840 times.
Chief Justin Brown found the acts to be extremely inappropriate and issued the following statement:
"How pathetic do you have to be to solicit a young mother in care for her children in a grocery store parking lot?" asked Chief Brown.
"We, as the police, find this man's behavior quite creepy. We want our female citizens to simply catch a break from receiving unwanted comments from gross and scary men. Therefore, we absolutely invite any woman to call our office if they encounter someone like this so that we may introduce ourselves to the wanna be Casanova and find out exactly what it is he is trying to achieve. We've got your back ladies, we're only a phone call away."
