The Franklinton Demons football team demolished the Fontainebleu Bulldogs last Friday, 41-0 on the road. This gives the Demons their first win of this season, moving their record to 1-2.
Franklinton head coach Guy Lecompte was proud of his team but still sees room for more improvement. "We took a step forward and I'm proud of their effort; however, there are things that we need to clean up. We had too many penalties, which is something that could cost us in closer games. There's a standard of performance that we are looking to attain."
The Demons opened the scoring on their first drive after holding the Bulldogs on the opening possession of the game. Quarterback Zion Anders hit Micah Hart in stride for a 42 yard pass play to the Bulldogs four yard line. Hart ran it in on the next play to put the Demons up 6-0 early.

In the second half Kade Lavigne nailed a 30 yard field goal on the Demons opening possession for a 21-0 lead. The Bulldogs had their best opportunity on the ensuing drive as they moved to the Demons 25 but a 42 yard field goal attempt was too low.

The Demons added to that on the next drive when freshman Jacob Crain found Kelly Daniels for a 59 yard touchdown pass with 6:19 left in the game. The extra point was good and the score was 34-0.
