The G.R.I.T.S. girls red hatters celebrated in September in Independence at B.B.Q. Station with Brenda Hayden as hostess. Brenda welcomed everyone present and read a red hat poem. Frances Schilling gave the prayer for the many prayer requests and blessing for our food. Everyone present received a door prize. The grand door prize was a centerpiece made by the hostess and was won by Lorell Morris. After the gathering several ladies went to Something Old and Something New shop to browse and shop. Everyone had a great outing. Pictured seated left to right are: Jean Stafford, Brenda Hayden, Lorell Morris, queen mother, Dot Cashio and Jenny Warren.
