Here are Veterans Day programs planned for our area. Veterans Day is Monday, November 11, but some of the programs are on Friday and Saturday, so check the dates carefully.
Also, be aware that the Post Office and some other governmental offices will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
•Pine High School
Monday, November 11
Breakfast 8 am. with program to follow.
•Bowling Green School invites all veterans and their family members to join us for a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11. Lunch will be served at 12:15 pm in the sports complex followed by a program in the main gym at 1pm. •Franklinton High School
The FHS Annual Veteran's Day Breakfast and Program will be held on Friday, November 8. Breakfast will begin at 7:15 in the school's library and the program will follow in the FHS gymnasium. Principal Shane Smith, faculty, staff and student body invited all Veterans to attend and bring spouse or guest. If any questions, contact the school at 839-6781.
•Mount Hermon School

Lunch served at 11:30, with the ceremony following at 12:30.

•Ben's Ford Christian School

•Varnado High School
The Annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Program is scheduled for Monday, November 11. Breakfast will be served at 8 am and the program begins at 9am. The Guest Speaker is U.S. Army National Guard Specialist Cardez Jackson, who is a VHS 2014 Graduate.
At Our Veterans Memorial Park a program will be held on Saturday, November 9th starting at 9 a.m. The park is located at Dollar Road at Hwy 10 in the Sheridan area. Everyone is invited to attend and participate in the program.
