The Franklinton Post Office will have limited delivery in the city limits due to the Washington Parish Free Fair Parade on Wednesday, Oct. 19. The retail window at the post office will close at 10:00 am and reopen at 2:00 pm Wednesday during the parade for security reasons. The retail window will close at 4:00 pm Wednesday through Friday. Normal retail hours for Saturday are 9:30 am until 11:30 .
Normal Post Office hours will resume on Monday, Oct.24, which is open at 8:30 am and close at 4:30 pm.
Postmaster Rebecca Yates said, “We ask the public to be considerate of the mail carriers delivering mail on the days of the fair and show courtesy and allow passage for our carriers in traffic situations.”
She added, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate all of our customers.”
