As previously reported in The Era-Leader and at era-leader.com, parish veterans will be honored in local schools on Friday, November 11, which is Veterans Day. Here is a brief listings of the programs that are scheduled. All veterans and their spouses are urged to attend one or more of the programs.
•FRANKLINTON HIGH SCHOOL
Breakfast in the school library at 7 a.m with the program to immediately follow in the gym.
•BOWLING GREEN SCHOOL
A lunch will be held in the sports complex at noon and the program follows at 1:00 p.m. in the main gym.
•PINE HIGH SCHOOL
A breakfast will be served in the school gym at 8 a.m. on with a program to follow.
•MOUNT HERMON SCHOOL
A breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the library and the program follows at 9 a.m. in the gym. Attendees are asked to call the school at 877-5813 to reserve a spot.
•FRANKLINTON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
A Veterans Day program will be held at 1:30 p.m.
•VARNADO HIGH SCHOOL
There will be a breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 am. A program will follow at 10 am.
