Washington Parish Free Fair Executive Committee members and several committee chairmen recently attended the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention held at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge.
Despite two years of the COVID pandemic, some of Louisiana's most iconic events were held across the state and were recognized for their efforts.
The Washington Parish Free Fair was awarded Fair of the Year in its division along with Best Cap, Best T-shirt, Best Marketing, and Best Website.
Additionally, Franklinton High School senior Ava Roshto received a $500 scholarship.
All the awards were announced and presented to committee chairmen by Fair President James Magruder at the recent regular February meeting.
