The G.R.I.T.S. girls red hat group celebrated Christmas in Ponchatoula, La., at the lovely home of Edleana Wattigney as our hostess. The group gave her as a hostess gift a lovely poinsettia. Our hostess provide gumbo, rice and a delicious hot spinach/cheese dip with scoops. Everyone present brought desserts, salads, homemade candies and other treats. Lorell Morris, queen mother, received a lovely red hat gift and lots of cash from the group.
December birthday ladies were, Edleana Wattigney, Sue Burch, Ann Hingle, Brenda Hayden and Sharyn Lobell. Nellie Smith gave the prayer for our prayer request and the blessing for our food. After lunch we played a left/right game and had our ornament exchange as Dale Wattigney read the story. Everyone had a wonderful time.
