This is the time of the school year when high school principals and their staffs are really busy.
That’s because the end of the school year and graduation are really big events for high schools. And in addition to planning and preparation for graduation, there is also end of the school year testing and multiple other educational and administrative challenges occurring during the last few weeks before school ends for the summer.
Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2025 willl kick off on May 8 at Franklinton High School, as seniors and their parents, other relatives, and friends crowd into Demon Stadium for the event. Ben’s Ford School will also graduate on May 8.
The parish graduation ceremonies will continue for the next week until the final 2025 graduation occurs at Bogalusa High School on May 15.
Once again this year The Era-Leader will produce its Graduation Edition. It is scheduled to be published on May 7, and it will contain color photos of all of Washington Parish’s 2025 graduates.

•Mount Hermon School - 10 a.m., Saturday, May 10
•Varnado High School - 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 10
•Bogalusa High School - 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 15
