The FHS boys baseball team held the #4 ranking in the state Class 4A power ratings this week, with the state playoffs starting next week.
The boys baseball playoffs will continue for the next two weeks, and the baseball semi-finals and finals will be held in Sulphur May 13 and May 15.
Here are the top power rated teams in Class 4A baseball, as of Wednesday of this week:
1. Tioga 21-7
2. North DeSoto 28-3
3. North Vermillion 26-5
4. Franklinton 20-3
The power ratings can change on a daily basis. The better the rating, the better the seeding, as well as all-important possible home games during the playoffs.
Pine and Mount Hermon are also headed into the baseball playoffs.
Pine will travel to far away Caddo Parish for a first round Class 2A game vs North Caddo
Mount Hermon will take on Monterey for a first round Class B game.
