Former Franklinton High School and Bowling Green standout Albanie Fussell has signed with William Carey University to continue her softball career.
She has racked up an impressive resume during her high school career. Her Freshman and Junior year she was named First Team All District for FHS. Her sophomore year was ended prematurely due to Covid. Her Junior and Senior year she was named First Team all District for Bowling Green. She also had the distinct honor of being named team MVP her Senior Year.
Albanie racked up an impressive .534 BA with 4 HR, 1 double, 1 triple with 17 RBI’s, and 0 strikeouts.
During her time at FHS she was instrumental in assisting her team to make it to the regional playoffs in her 2021 season and quarterfinals in her 2019 season.
She is a tremendous catcher that has a solid bat. The stats don’t really show how many times she has blocked the ball or saved a wild pitch and due to her ability to throw out runners have kept them from the stealing attempt.
Albanie was also a member of the Ascension Outlaws Travel Softball Organization.
