Very early in the morning of August 28, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division responded to a Franklinton-area crime scene to investigate a murder which had just occurred. Officers quickly arrested three Tangipahoa Parish men and booked them into the Washington Parish Jail on a charge of the second degree murder of twenty-three year old Xykie Barker, a resident of Tammy Lane.
The three Tangipahoa Parish men are:
Elisha Brown, 19, a resident of Wood Scale Road in Hammond.
Elijah Jaquarius Williams, 19, also a resident of Wood Scale Road in Hammond
Travon Washington, 20, a resident of Driftwood Street in Amite.
The three men remain in jail waiting for bond to be set. Meanwhile, the investigation continues.
Additional details were expected to be released when the investigation concludes.
“Kudos to our detectives who were on the scene quickly and promptly made an arrest,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal. “Such despicable acts will not be tolerated. Our officers are continuing this investigation which was interrupted by Hurricane Ida. Meanwhile, the shooters are behind bars. Our officers have done their job and the fate of these men is now in the hands of the judicial system.”
