The Varnado Store Museum in Franklinton is assembling a new exhibit to be displayed during July and August, "Community Heroes Through the Years".
If you have photos, scrapbooks, documents, stories, clothing or other items about those individuals or groups who have given unselfishly to benefit our communities during hard and good times, please share them on loan to the museum for this special exhibit.
The museum wants to honor soldiers, guardsmen, firemen, policemen, medical persons, charitable groups, disaster teams, teachers, etc. who have become heroes in the past and the present. The mseum is open on the weekends (except for July 4th weekend) and staffers will be working in the museum on July 7th and 8th. Bring any items you wish to display by the museum at one of these times.
