Franklinton High School Head Baseball Coach Clay Tageant is inviting everyone to attend “Coach Jeff Tageant Night” this Friday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. Prior to the Demons playing Northlake Christian, FHS will officially retire the former coach’s jersey --- number 30.
“There will never again be an FHS baseball coach to match the commitment, number of wins, years of service, and the impact Coach T has had the lives of young men. No one else can ever adequately fill the jersey worn by Jeff Tageant, so it is being retired,” said Coach Clay Tageant, who recently succeeded his father as head coach.
Following a brief ceremony, Coach T will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Former players and coaches are especially invited to attend. Everyone is encouraged to proudly wear purple and gold as Coach T’s jersey is retired.
