The Bowling Green Buccaneers fell to the Tri-County Rebels Friday, Nov. 17, in the MAIS 4A state championship game, played at Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi.
The final score was Tri County 26, Bowling Green 13.
The Bucs took a lead in the first quarter with a Bubby Bryant touchdown and an Alex Brock PAT for a 7-0 lead.
Tri County came back in the second quarter to score two touchdowns but both PAT attempts failed, and the Rebels went into halftime with a 12-7 lead.
In the 3rd quarter, both teams scored a touchdown and both PAT attempts failed, putting the score at 18-13.
In the 4th quarter Tri County scored again, and this time their 2-point PAT attempt was good, giving them a 26-13 lead, which would prove to be the final score.
