Coach Jonathon Barber said the Demons didn't play well but they intend to get better for the remaining district schedule. "We didn't play well in any aspect of the game. We lost all three phases of the game in the first half, offense, defense and special teams all gave up scores. We have not responded well to adversity and that falls on me. We still have an opportunity to win the district and we will do everything we can to prepare to do that moving forward."
Starting quarterback Zion Anders passed 15 times completing 4 for 57 yards and rushed 4 times for 15 yards. Sophomore Trey Bankston played the entire second half completing 2 passes of 5. Kelly Daniels caught two passes for 29 yards, Senqualon Conerly caught one for 30 yards and Glen Marks caught one for 2. Conerly also rushed 4 times for 12 yards, Daniels rushed 7 times for 77 yards, Micah Hart rushed 5 times for 8 yards and Khaled Waliagha rushed 4 times for 16 yards.
This week the Demons will host the 6-1, 1-0 Salmen Spartans who defeated the Pearl River Rebels last Friday 26-7 in other district action.
