The Demons added a run in the second when freshman Da'ron Sinceno was hit by a pitch and driven in by Cade Phillips double. The Wave again answered in the bottom, this time taking the lead at 4-3.
The Demons took the lead in the fourth as Sinceno singled before Phillips also singled and Tryson Fowler drew a walk to load the bases before a fielders choice allowed a run to score and Wascom singled in Phillips. The Wave scored three runs in the bottom to retake the lead at 7-5.
Ponchatoula added another run in the fifth for an 8-5 lead and two more runs in the sixth to go ahead 10-5. The Demons only managed two base runners in the last three innings as they fell to the Green Wave 10-5.
