On Thursday (July 24), Washington Parish Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Timothy Charles Pittman on one count of possession of schedule 3 drugs with intent to distribute and two counts of introduction of contraband to a correctional facility.
After cell phones and narcotics were discovered during a search of the Washington Parish Jail, further investigation revealed that the contraband had been allegedly left at a medical facility by Pittman. An inmate who needed medical treatment managed to obtain the contraband during his treatment at the facility.
A search warrant was issued for Pittman's arrest, and he was then apprehended at his Bogalusa residence with assistance from the Bogalusa Police Department.
Pittman is being held at the Washington Parish Jail pending trial. No bond had been set as of Friday of this week.
