BRIDGE CITY, La. (AP) — Louisiana authorities accuse a man of “gross littering” after finding a pile of refuse including a spa, rugs, furniture and fence boards in a New Orleans suburb.
papers in the pile led to someone who had paid the man to haul away trash that was dumped near Highway 541 in Bridge City, the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said.
A Bridge City man admitted dumping the debris after being paid for debris removal services, according to a news release sent Thursday.
He was cited Dec. 11 on a charge of gross littering. The maximum penalty is a $900 fine and 16 hours of community service in a litter abatement program.
