Mary Ada Holmes James, 81, and a resident of the Stoney Point Community passed away early Saturday morning June 14, 2025 at her home. She loved taking care of her flowers and 2 pet dogs. Mary enjoyed coloring and playing different games on her phone. She liked to go out to eat and watch her favorite Western TV shows. Mary always loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

2 Daughters: Annette James, Lisa James
2 Grandsons: Johnny Stricklan, Robert Stricklan
5 Great-grandchildren: Ethan George, Rinlee Stricklan, Ryan Whebe, Nisha Stricklan, Von Stricklan
Sister: Kitty
6 Brothers: Ray, Wendell, George, John Earl, Carrol, Dan
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by 3 great-grandchildren Beau George, Jonas Stricklan, Madeline Stricklan, her parents C.L. Holmes and Ethel Peltier Holmes, sister Estelle Bennett, brother Jerry Holmes, father in law and mother in law Estus and Nellie James.
A memorial service for her family and friends will be planned in the near future.
