Pine takes big 65-16 win over Bogalusa

Pine will be at Springfield this Friday for an 8-3A district game following the Raiders’ blowout 65-16 win over Bogalusa last Thursday night.
The Bogalusa game was never in question after Pine took an early lead and head coach Bradley Seal was able to give all of his team playing time.

Every now and then something happens, or things happen that hit me with such a wave of emotion that I fall into a bit of writer's block. Nothing really seems that important to write about. Nothing can top what is distracting my brain. It feels wrong to be funny.

Strong Sunday afternoon storm hit the parish

A violent thunderstorm rocked Western Washington Parish late Sunday afternoon (June 22) but no major damage was reported. The storm left behind some uprooted trees and plenty of knocked over trash containers, as well as brief power outages.

FHS baseball defeated Pine, lost to 2 other teams

The Franklinton Demons baseball team went 1-2 during the week last week as they defeated neighboring Pine before falling to E.D. White and East Ascension all on the road. The Demons now hold an 8-7 record and will play Hannan on Wednesday at home and on Friday on the road to kick off district action.
