FHS takes 2 wins and a loss in Belle Chasse tourney

The Franklinton Demons baseball team participated in the Belle Chasse tournament last week and came away with two wins and one loss moving their overall record to 4-3 overall. The Demons defeated the Shaw Eagles and the Riverdale Rebels and they were downed by St Martins.

FHS defeats Fontainebleau 41-20, to host Sumner on Thursday

The Franklinton Demons football team picked up a nice win over the Fontainebleau Bulldogs last Thursday on the road, moving their record to 3-1.
The Demons came out fast and easily won 41-20. Leading 41-6, the Demons pulled the starters and played the reserves for a large portion of the second half.

The legendary 2009 “Snow Bowl” is considered to be the top football game played at the new Demon Stadium in its 20 years of existence. Franklinton roared past Salmen in the state semi-finals enroute to a trip to the Superdome that resulted in the 2009 FHS team becoming the state 4A runner-up. The following season the Demons won the 2010 state championship. The “Snow Bowl” photo shown above was taken for The Era-Leader by Donna Graham. It became an instant classic for FHS fans. FHS escaped with narrow win over Belle Chasse in pre-season scrimmage

The Franklinton Demons baseball team traveled to Belle Chasse to scrimmage the Cardinals in what turned out to be a spectacular game. Another extra twist was that the Demons head coach, Clay Tageant, and the Cardinals head coach, Evan Tageant, are brothers, as well as being the sons of former FHS head coach Jeff Tageant.
