The huge explosion and fire that happened on Friday in Roseland, 25 miles west of Franklinton, has made national news. The incident has resulted in an evacuation of nearby resdents and has caused concern about harm being caused to the environment and humans. Oily residue is in the Tangipahoa River and containment efforts are underway.
