Memorial Day ceremony is Sunday at Our Veterans Memorial Park

There will be a Memorial Day weekend ceremony this coming Sunday to honor service members who made the ultimate sacrifice as well as all veterans.
The ceremony will be held at Our Veterans Memorial Park, Highway 10 at Dollar Road, beginning at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Franklinton Council meets, police officers moved from part-time to full-time

The Regular meeting of the Franklinton Mayor and Board of Aldermen was held on May 13.
The Board voted to approve the minutes of April 22 Regular meeting and then voted to move the June 10 meeting to June 9 due to a conflict with Louisiana Municipal Association's district meeting on June 10 in Madisonville.

School supply giveaway is August 1 at Franklinton city hall

The Citizens Planning Committee of Franklinton announces a School Supply Giveaway for area students. This event will occur on Friday, August 1 from 5 pm to 6 pm at City Hall. Members of the committee along with the Mayor and Aldermen will be on hand to distribute the supplies.
