Theresa Glenn, a secretary for Washington Parish Fire District #7, was booked into the Washington Parish Jail on Wednesday (Oct. 5) on charges related to unemployment insurance fraud.

Longtime Winn-Dixie manager passes away

Todd Edwards, longtime manager of the Franklinton Winn-Dixie store, died this past Tuesday while working at his home in Stony Point. He apparently suffered a medical emergency while doing tractor work.

The chain is buying Franklinton’s Winn-Dixie.
