Franklinton man killed in Gulf of Mexico helicopter crash

Funeral sevices were held this past weekend for a Franklinton man who was one of four people killed in a Gulf of Mexico helicopter crash.
The crash occurred on the morning of December 29 while transporting oil platform workers ten miles offshore in the Gulf. The helicopter pilot and three oil platform workers were killed.

Wednesday February 1 was national signing day for high school athletes to sign with their respective colleges and universities and Franklinton High school held a signing activity for three of their athletes who are moving on to play on the next level in their respective sports.
