Winn-Dixie donated $1,000 to the Franklinton Police Department as part of its grand re-opening celebration in March of 2022 following a remodeling of the store. Franklinton Police Chief Justin Brown, center, accepted the check from Todd Edwards, right, manager of the store. Edwards later passed away unexpectedly.
Winn Dixie recently announced that it is being bought by Aldi, a large discount grocery chain that also owns the Trader Joe grocery stores.
