Franklinton man and fellow agents rescued co-worker in I-55 fog disaster

On Monday, October 23, Mike Phelps of Franklinton was looking forward to a "low-key" day.
Program Manager with Louisiana Probation and Parole, he was happy to return to his office in Covington after the Washington Parish Free Fair. He planned to answer emails and basically slow down.

FJHS defeats Pine Jr. High for parish championship

Franklinton Junior High defeated Pine Tuesday evening 12-0 in a hard fought game to become the 2025 Washington Parish Junior High champions. In addition to the championship, the Falcons are also undefeated for the 2025 season. In photo above, FJHS Coach Andy Creel hoists the parish championship trophy.
