Washington Parish Fair President James Magruder is shown presenting the Louisiana Fairs and Festivals "Volunteer of the Year" award to Donald Folse. Folse, former Building and Grounds Chairman is currently serving a two-year term as Vice President of the Executive Board. Folse was the Fair Honoree for the 2021 edition of the Fair and has worked tirelessly keeping the buildings and grounds safe and ready for visitors, despite severe Fairgrounds damage from weather events. He is the former Franklinton Police Chief.

Each year the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals sponsors a poster contest for any public, private or parochial school student held in conjunction with area fairs and festivals. The subject of the poster is "My Fair/Festival."
