I have written about this many times in the past, perhaps because it is such a staple in my childhood. When you lived ten miles out of town, running up to the old country store was the treat of the day. Especially when it was 95 degrees outside and a blueberry Redbird Popsicle was calling your name.

FHS Lady Demons pick up win over Mount Hermon

The Franklinton Lady Demons played at home Thursday February 29 against the Mt. Hermon Lady Jackets. Skylar Branch collected three hits in four at bats, as the Lady Demons defeated Mt. Hermon Lady Jackets 16-0 on Thursday. Branch tripled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the second inning.
