It’s already the last week of March! The azaleas are blooming, and we have lots of exciting events coming up.

Condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Carolyn Higgins. She was always a blessing to everyone at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, and will certainly be missed.
The next home game for the Jackets baseball team is April 1st, playing against Holden. The Lady Jackets will play Bogalusa on March 26th, and Phoenix on the 31st. Both are home games. All of these games begin at 5:30 PM.
The Lady Jackets Softball team is still taking orders for individual bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes Bakery. Orders are due by April 1st, and the individual cake is only $7.00.
The Washington Baptist Association Women’s Missions and Ministry will have a ladies luncheon at Sunny Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, April 12th from 11 AM-1 PM. They ask for everyone to bring a “blessing” item for one or more of the following ministries: Moving Mountains Ministry, Prison Ministry Giftbox Distribution, Pack-A-Purse Ministry, local food bank, or local pregnancy center.
Get your golf clubs ready! It’s time for the Mt. Hermon Ruritan Club Beryl Schilling Memorial Golf Tournament. This 2 man scramble-18 hole fundraiser event will be held Saturday, April 12th at the Franklinton Country Club, with shotgun start time at 9 AM. The cost is $200 per team (limit 4 per team), and $5 each Mulligans. Registration prior to the event is encouraged, but will also be accepted the morning of. Stray Dog Farm Supply, LLC will have a customer appreciation day/opening ceremony, and a day to highlight our local farmers and growers on April 12th from 10 AM-2 PM. They are located at 34405 Sunny Hill Rd. A light lunch and snacks will be served at this free event, and door prizes will be given away! All are welcome to stop by and check out local products from local farmers such as jams, jellies, honey, hog head cheese, fresh vegetables, pickled products, beef, tallow, lamb and quail. They also hope to have soaps and woodworking products available. To reserve your spot to highlight your products, please contact 985-403-3798.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church will have chicken dinners ready for pick-up on April 12th. Dinners include 1/2 chicken, potato salad, baked beans, bread and dessert for only $12.00. Get your orders in by April 5th.
