Happy Wednesday! This summer is flying by! Before you know it, school will be starting back.
The Mt. Hermon High School Beta Club attended the National Beta Convention in Orlando, Florida. Not just one, but three students came back as National winners! Congratulations to Meggan Fountain for placing 4th in 10th grade Psychology, Alissa Stewart for placing 8th in 9th grade Spelling, and to Alyssa Rando for placing 1st in 9th grade Spelling, which makes her a National Beta Champion! MHS is very proud of you all!
The youth groups of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and Bogue Chitto Baptist Church had a great week at Fuge Camp! This year’s theme was “Into the Light”. Worship was led by The Jonathan Turner Band. They all chose to do the mission track, which allowed them to serve in and around Jackson, Ms. By doing so, it really opened their eyes to those in need and how they can share Christ and work together to make a difference. The youth groups greatly appreciate the support of the church families in helping them be able to attend Fuge Camp.
It has been a while since the Young at Heart group of Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church have gotten together. They are excited to see everyone at their July outing on Thursday, July 10th, 11:00 AM at Brook’s in Mt. Hermon.

Schilling’s Farm and Market has Washington Parish watermelons for sale! $12 and $15. This week’s hours are Thursday 4-8 PM, closed Friday, Saturday 9 AM-8 PM, and Sunday 1-6 PM.
Triple P Fireworks is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a fireworks package valued over $400. Tickets are cash only. 3 tickets for $5. The drawing will take place at 8 PM, July 4th. All proceeds collected will be donated to the Mt. Hermon Volunteer Fire Department. It’s a great way to give back to those who give so much!
